Manaaki

Tuatara - Sphenodon

Manaaki in Māori means to cherish, conserve and sustain and this is exactly the three words which Manaaki uses in his everyday life. His physique is mainly made up from a Tuatara which is a reptile native to in New Zealand, the name Tuatara derives from the Māori language which means "peaks on the back" due to their distinctive spikes down their spine, he is also one of the younger member in the tribe at the age of 62 years old. Although most of his appearance resembles that of a Tuatara his body is half goblin, his textured skin is wrinkled and saggy but his lower half resembles a human being with his two arms and legs. His native language is also Māori too along with the rest of the tribe and due to his values of sticking to his name meanings he is the most eco friendly resident who always battles to make the other creatures live a more happy simple life without damaging the eco system. His home is the only one which is not made from wood, he lives in teepee tent due to a lesser need for materialistic items and a bigger home, he also lives alone and does not have any plans to settle down, he devotes most of his time to meditation and practising to be a better citizen.
